2014 ML63 Oil change

What’s the factory recommended oil drain process? I’ve always believed draining oil the conventional way by removing the drain plug is superior to vacuuming the oil from the system. Going to be doing mine soon and looking for the proper method. Also, single drain lug or is there a plug on the oil cooler as well.

Thanks all.

Typically, the majority of owners do not drain the cooler. If you are a very critical owner and feel like you need to drain the cooler, it's fine. But realistically draining the cooler or not is not detrimental to the oil change process.

You are correct about the drain process - pull the plug and replace with new oil plug and crusher is the proper process.
