The two piece system consists of an external RGB converter box and an RGB circuit board which is installed inside the car's LCD nav head unit. The external RGB box accepts an NTSC composite video input well as an RGB video input then converts them to a standard analog RGB signal, this is then connected to the other piece of the system, which is the internal circuit board installed inside of the radio. This internal board converts the analog RGB signal to TTL digital RGB that the LCD screen can then display.
The first step in the installation is to remove the head unit from the car, and open it up to expose its internal circuitry.
