Dumb question, but does it come with instructions? Is STAR needed for coding?

It doesn't come with instructions, just user a manual. I am pretty sure you don't need STAR for any kind of coding. It didn't seem to difficult to install after seeing a few threads on android headunit installs.
The back of it is like any other aftermarket headunit, but also has another harness with a canbus decoder.
