Thanks. I think it's the perfect bike for a nice 15 mile commute. It's actually a lot more fun to ride than I thought it would be.
My very first bike over 20 years ago was a Kawi 650 (from like 1978 or 79). Loved that bike.

to the 82 GPz750 and kept that for 25 yrs...then the aforementioned ZRX.
amazing how the technology has changed and improved over the years.
night v day!
eurosport: oh that's harsh. hey, this is my first big bore and i'm still getting
use to it. just starting to hang off it in the sweepers.

yeah, baby !!! that's a great bike...and background.

have sat on the rim of the crater several times, having a sandwich and
looking down at the steaming dome. it's a great hike if you ever get the
urge. great glissading opportunities on the descent when there is snow.

Just picked up a little bike to use for commuting to work every now and then. Nothing fast or fancy, but it is fun.

Well............obviously a different path from me........but then again I did turn 50 this year
The big one is for long rides with the wife on the back. Fully equipped with an audio system and Zumo 550 GPS, Cruise, Heated Hand grips, etc.....The smaller bike is a special edition FXDWG3 that was only made for one year and I ride strictly solo....it just turned 2000 miles last week!

The Wide Glide is a blast to ride but you get tired in 60 - 90 minutes where I can stay on the RK for a full tank of gas.
Cheers!
my engine seized at a stop light couple weeks ago lol. looks like timing chain guide failed. poor baby will live on though, new 6k engine should be here next week for the swap

i haven't fully taken it apart yet, but i will i'm curious if a rod is bent too, but looks like it won't crank at all even manually.
the timing chain runs on a guide it's pretty much very hard plastic that's meant to sustain all the internal engine temps, but of course with so many miles and use, looks like it just failed and broken into pieces.
that's the initial damage, then who knows what until i take it apart.
new engine should be here tomorrow no worries
how's the black beast treating you?
hmmm no warranty 50k on it

I love my zx-6r. Didn't get to ride it too much over the winter, but I'm looking forward to getting out on it more now that the weather is getting nicer. I've got about 2200 miles on it now. So far, I've installed a homemade fender eliminator, and a gorilla alarm system. When I get the time, I will add a new slip on (not sure which one yet) and then maybe some frame sliders. Other than that, I probably won't do too much more to it.

Sold this to one of my best friends with the condition that when he wants a new bike I get to buy it back from him - still my all time favorite bike, perfect in every way (except for the stupid ***** that it encourages you to do).

What I bought to "tone down" my street riding after the RC-51:
