I just moved to the area and used Foreign MotorWorks Mercedes Repair in Quincy, MA. They are about 15 minutes south of Boston. The owner Stan was very helpful and honest, as well as a lot less expensive then the dealer in CA.

might want to take a look at Kaizen Tuning in Acton, MA... They have a certified SLR technician in addition to a Ferrari, Porsche and Lambo tech

Carmine Vano at European Car doctors in the back bay can fix anything, I believe, and at a reasonable price. He works mainly on older cars but I don't see why he couldn't do newer ones. He's been working on Mercedes since the mid-70's. When the dealer quoted me over $3K to fix my electrical in my '94 E420, he fixed it for under $250! So deffinitely worth a try, IMO.
