I use to drive a W203 and it's been passed down the family and still driving strong.
Recently picked up a W213 E400 Estate sports package. Have a few projects lined up, will be mainly used for traveling and keeping that station wagon spirit alive.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I own a couple mercedes but I'm all about the 2.7 cdi engine beacuse it's 5 cylinder, all of my cars has custom exhaust on them so they sound even more beautiful.
They are, w203 C270, w211 E270, w163 Ml270.
Will post some pics later in time.
and now I am the proud owner of an ML320 CDI with the OM642 engine.I also have a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the same engine and 250k miles on it.
Pics to come soon.

Very excited that I purchased a Lunar Blue/ Macchiato Beige CPO 2018 E400 Wagon yesterday! I would post pics but it wasn't detailed by the dealer yet. Looking forward to interacting with all of you!

I’m a retiring automotive engineer considering the purchase of a used SL for Michigan summers and or Florida winters. I love the W113 cars but I’m mostly interested in the R231 cars because of their modern features like the retractable hardtop, ABC, cooled seats, and Distronic (not to mention a/c, lol).
Right out of the chute, I would appreciate any insights on parts availability for the early R231 cars or even recommendations on a good Buyers Guide. I have recently maintained a few clean and under-appreciated older cars that I liked (XJS V12, TBird V8, PwrStroke F250, Mark III) but am finding replacement parts are becoming precious. I’d really like to avoid that going forward with the right choice of SL. I’m targeting about a $50k budget but am open to spending maybe $70k if worthwhile or $30k if it’s sensible and reliable. I sort of have my heart set on ABC, and my last hot GT type car had adaptive cruise, which I grew very fond of. The V6 cars are off the table for me personally. Minimally, it needs to deliver something north of 400hp, ideally much more.
