Hi Guys,
Let me start by saying, this coupe actually belongs to my wife and now I inherited the headaches that came along with it. Luckily for her, we bought a BMW X5 and I am left with pushing the beloved coupe...:-)
The car is great...to a point.
Over the past year and a half I have been experiencing all kinds of issues with this car. It isn't because the car is toast, but due to the ill maintenance and un-kept service the car is running pretty rough to say the least.
While I'm on here, I hope to meet some of you who are knowledgable with this model as I am extremely peculiar about familiarty. I do not deal with people who have no knowledge of the CLK 430 and who just are mechanics out of high school who deals with Nissans and Toyotas. No disrespect here, just stay in your lane....my modus operandi!
I am not too familiar with this model but will be on here consistently as I like the car, want to keep the car and bring it back to 'life'...plus the fact that it is already fully paid for!
Looking forward to corresponding with other CLK 430 owners here!

2000 Mercedes Benz S-430
Air Suspension
Hi everyone, I owned a 2000 Mercedes Benz S-430 bought the car about 3 years ago from my cousin, when I bought the car from him the car needed TLC. The left rear air suspension was low but the system never informed me that it needed to be replace, but I noticed it on time I ordered the parts waited for my mechanic to come and fix it and waited for about a week before he could come out and replace. after replacing the suspension it still didn't do hardly anything. I was told that when replacing the Air suspension that its best to replace both at the same time so they go out evenly so I had both replace but know the car will not raise up all the way, not even I push the button to raise it. What can I do in this case should I go ahead and take it to Dealership or have my mechanic look into it some more, he mention that it could have a leak somewhere.. Please Help!!!
