We purchased a GLK 250 in early 2013 and have had to replace the front windshield twice already. First time was due to a extremly light shot from a stone that in my opinion should have never done any damage. On that same glass we received a second chip 1 week later and again from minor contact. I am now replacing my second windshield in the same year, this time because during a snow storm with the defrost on high the windshield just cracked.... Has anyone heard of or experienced this similar issue that the front windshield seem to be poorly made and easily damaged. My local service manager at MB stated there appears to be no typical chip contact point yet the cracking in one day has spread to multiple spider cracks.

We had an 2012 ML as well and had no issues though we did experience similar stones flying off trucks and contacting the windshield.
