1995 E320 cabriolet question regarding the fan system
Hi all. Love this forum, I have grown up with and owned mercedes off and on my entire life. I have a question.
I recently bought a 1995 e320 Cabriolet. (DREAM CAR FOR ME) It sat for five years. It has 97k on it. I just had it completely serviced. But driving home from the shop 3 miles my air-conditioner (just serviced) took a while to cool up.
then when I parked in my garage the front of the hood of the car was really hot.
The temp never went over 80ish. I thought the fans were supposed to come on if heat was extreme. I called my mechanic today he said the car was fine.
I did open the hood and cooled down the engine. Then a few hours later started it up. Temp was low but engine and hood were hot. I smelt antifreeze but no leaking of anything under the car. It was 101 in Los angeles yesterday.
Should I worry or not.
And does anyone know where to buy the plastic cover for the lock on the top when its down. Mine broke.
