2011 E350 Wagon
E350 door lock question
Just purchased a used 2011 E350 Wagon. You can lock all the doors
with the smartkey, but you can not lock the driver's door or passenger
door with the switch on the inside of the door panel when exiting. You
can lock all the doors when sitting inside and using the switch on either
the passenger or driver's door. Is this normal?

all the doors is with the smart key or if all the doors are closed and you are sitting inside using the door switch. If your are standing outside and wish to lock all the doors, they
will not lock by pushing the door lock switch on the door. That switch only
locks the rear doors, but not the front. Hope I explained it better.
Our previous auto would allow you to use the door switch to lock all four
doors when exiting instead of the key fob. It may just be this car doesn't allow that feature (would prevent you from locking the key inside). Just wondering.......
