New Owner of Bordeaux CLK 430 in Southern California
New member to the Benz Family checking in!
Most girls want roses on Valentine's Day... I went a bit overboard and bought myself a 2000 CLK 430 Coupe, in a lovely Bordeaux Red color with grey & Bird's Eye Wood interior this past Saturday. Came with AMG Alloy Rims and brand new rear tires. Grill, Trunk Emblem and Tailpipe are matte black, and I may tint windows to match if I don't return back to original Chrome. Only 76,000 miles on this car as of now, but I plan on replacing all filters, seals etc. as soon as possible. It *is* 15 years old after all...
I'm converting to MB from my previous religion, a black 1988 Cadillac Eldorado (also a V8). My parents have an MB Diesel, and I loved driving it so much when I went to visit that I decided to get myself a Mercedes. It doesn't hurt that I've always enjoyed the sleek look and ride of a Mercedes. Sehr gut!
The CLK 430 is a beast, acceleration is powerful and it glides along the road. Yum. Visually: it's got some paint dings but those will be taken care of soon enough. For now, I'm just enjoying driving, maybe a little too much, I ended up rolling in late to work this morning because I ended up driving an extra 15 miles for fun! Dat V8 tho...
