1993 mercedes benz SL500
Newbie from So. Calif
Wanted to say Hi to all. Just purchased a 1993 SL500. 97K miles, pretty good shape but needs lots of TLC.
FYI, I'm 77, retired with lots of hobbies. My number one hobby is restoring Muscle Cars. I currently have, in the garage, a 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ 428. Ground up restoration in 2008, an 8 year project due to the difficulty in finding parts. I've played guitar and organ for 50 + years. Unfortunately, I've inherited a Swedish hand disease which shrinks the tendons in the hands and makes it almost impossible to play anymore. I'm close to becoming a widower. My Wife of 55 years has Stage 4 lung cancer. That's hard to deal with. One of the reasons I bought the SL500. I've always liked these cars, lots of style and not hard to look at. Keeping busy is my best therapy.
I'm ready to tackle this one, so I will be seeking some technical advise. jc
