This is John from the Boston, MA area. I just picked up a 2011 E63 AMG, the first Mercedes I have ever owned. I've been into performance cars for a long time, my other car being a Porsche GT3 that I frequently take to the track.
The E63 AMG is a real sleeper, which is exactly what I was looking for in a street car. It's quiet, spacious, and luxurious but turns into an animal when you get on it. But you already knew that.
It's an excellent daily driver and is indeed a sports car. Like others have mentioned, get a set of 19" rims with a set of PS4S, and it'll be the great fun as a daily driver!
