Advice- MB Dealership left my convertible CLK63 top down in 2" of rain
I have a pristine CLK63 AMG convertible with only 18k miles on it. I took the car to a Mercedes dealership in Bethesda, MD yesterday for service. The dealership gave me a loaner. Last night, the dealership received 2” of rain. The MB dealer left the car parked overnight with the top down on their premise and it flooded. They called me, apologized, said they removed the seats, the carpets and the pads to dry.
I’m not quite sure what to say to them or do next. For starters, I’m guessing the car will never be the same. Assuming I get it back from them in decent shape…what happens when an electrical issue arises a few months from now due to previous water damage? What about damage to the fuse box? Mold issues?
I'm quite frustrated at the moment. I would welcome any advice.
Thank you!

Thanks for your response Luccia. I concur with your recommendations. I drove to EuroMotors Mercedes Benz dealership in Bethesda, MD and spoke with the Service Manager and the Service Tech, and took several pictures. They appear to be doing the right thing. It will take a while for it to dry out, especially in the humid DC summer air. They say they will "take care" of any water related damage in the future, BUT they did not say for how long, either in mileage or in time.
Thanks again for your time. I'll drop by your store the next time I am in Southern California.
Sincerely.
Cheers!

if it was me, i'd get another car...
u need to remove all carpet floors and seat covers to properly clean inside out...
plus, dealer should give at least 50K miles no-questions-asked warranty in writing...
Thanks for your comments. I visited the MB dealership in Bethesda, MD (Euro Motorcars) and they have removed the seats, carpets and padding. They are letting things dry out for a week or so and then reinstalling. The car did start after the 2" of rain came in. Will need to work to ensure that everything works as designed. I met with the service writer and service manager and, while both are very courteous, they are working the problem. I will need a warranty/guarantee from them. I will keep you posted. Thank you MBWorld members.
I'm definitely not pleased. It only I had a Delorean time machine, I wouldn't have taken the car...
