New to MBWorld, not to MB autos
Just wanted to stop here and introduce myself. I'm Steve, I live near Chicago, and we (wife and I) currently have 2 MB's. My daily driver is a 2015 E400 (steel grey/black leather, pretty well optioned), hers is a 2015 GLK350 (palladium silver/black tex, also pretty well optioned). Quite a few years ago I had a Baby Benz (1988 190E 2.3) which I dearly loved for 137K miles, but had to sell because we had more cars than garage space.
I don't expect to need to turn the wrenches much with two newer cars, but there seems to be more user/enthusiast activity here than at some of the other sites. (Yes, we hand wash the cars carefully, but we do not require passengers to wear bunny suits to ride in them - they are truly daily drivers.)
I am a "recovering gearhead." I've been an auto hobbyist for most of my life - including drag racing, autocross, road rallyes and even managing a hot rod and custom car show for 9 years (World of Wheels, Chicago).
I've come here primarily to learn, as there seems to be much more to the newer MB autos than can be conveyed in manuals or online tutorials. I look forward to the experience. Thanks.
