Old Member getting back in...
I used to own a couple of 80's 300 turbo diesels back in the 2000's...., the wife is looking for something to replace her current Lexus GS430, nice car, fast, reliable... but it's time for a convertible know that we live in Florida 
Have been shopping around looking at everything from Audi, BMW, Bentley, Jag, Aston, Porsche, Lexus, Infinity etc.....
Audi, we had an A4 Cab, massive electrical issues... not even in the running...
BMW, she simply didn't like the techno of it...
Bentley, seems outdated and just didn't care for it...
Lexus, no V8
Infinity, same thing, no V8
Loved the Jag, Aston, Porsche but ya can't fit 4 real people in it
Seems like we are left with Mercedes, which is what I was leaning towards from the start but had to try them all just to be thorough...
In years past I was hesitant about MB because the build quality kinda went downhill...
I've been searching for an active forum to find out the inside scoop on the C207 2010-2016 E550 Convertible.
You guys are the most active i found by far!!
So with all that said, we have driven a E350, nice and decent power but we want a fun car!
The E550's we have driven are much quicker and sound so much better than I expected. Had a nice growl like a big American V8 which we both like!
Really growing on us....
I've read a few threads about them here and there but I haven't seen any one thing that seems to be an issue with them.
Will post to the appropriate forum probably tomorrow, but figured I'd do the intro here
Hopefully we end up going this route and I'll be a quality contributor..
