Hey all,
I'm new to the board. I had a w203 c230k 6 speed coupe several years back and posted sparingly. That was a great car but not too too quick. I was thinking about modding it but decided it would be better to get something faster.
A few cars later and i'm back. Just bought a black 2000 E55 AMG with 91k on it a few days ago.
Pictures to come. Glad to be back in a benz

Welcome to MBWorld. That's really good mileage for a 15 year old car. Should be a fairly good amount of performance boost coming from your w203 to that AMG which should please that craving ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Let us know if we can help you out with some lighting. We've outfitted many w210 with whiter parking/city lights, low beams, and rear plates

so I've been fiddling with the car a little bit and its still not on the road.
Some of the issues it had when I picked it up included.
1) "hard limp" mode from coffie being spilled in the shifter
2) front passenger side wheel was a donut and the stock monoblock / tire were not included
3) some surface rust on the front fenders which I wasn't too pleased with but I can deal
Those are all the issues I knew about.
I got the shifter replaced and it now shifts. That was an easy swap and quite a relief when it worked.
I picked up a set of rims and tires of an w220 s55 amg. I put them on and the rears fit and fronts didn't (I didn't expect them too) so I ordered spacers and the appropriate bolts. Bolts have arrived, spacers should be here shortly
Also my serp belt flew off and I noticed that the power steering pump bracket was cracked in half so I replaced that.
I also had to replace an aftermarket amplifier for an aftermarket subwoofer that the PO installed. I strangely had the same make/model on my spare audio shelf so it was no big deal.
So far this car has been VERY easy to work on and parts have been easy to find. Hoping it will be reliable after I get these little issues worked out and get to driving it.
