Newbie with an inherited 1991 350SDL
Hello everybody. within the last 2 weeks I inherited the above vehicle from my brothers estate. This car was presented to the retiring president of LIONS CLUB International in 1991. Showing 164995 miles but I discovered that the odo is inop on a trip to the VA hospital in Asheville, NC last week. So I will be looking for a used speedometer along with some other parts like an accelerator pedal and etc. Never had a diesel powered anything before, but I like it and will drive it lots I expect. I will probably have to sell a one family owned,#8 or 9 '88 Chrysler 5th Ave with 50K miles on it. I am In Shelby, NC abt 40 miles west from Charlotte.

Thank you very much. I am gonna need this forum in order to correct a few things. I just came in from an American Legion Meeting. It's cold here and the car blows cold air, no heat even tho the temp gauge reads 80c. Perhaps a faulty thermostat. I will try to find out tomorrow. Thanks again. Dave
