Newby in Uganda
The car seems to generally be in good shape. Planning a trip stateside to get the requisite service parts and replacement lens.
I'm putting it on ramps this weekend to check the underside more thoroughly.
I have found so far that the hydraulic rear suspension has been played with. Although there are no suspension damping controls on the dash, it appears to have recently been fitting with Sachs shocks (non-hydraulic), but there is an open disconnected hose dangling near the shock.
I'm assuming this car did not come with ADS, but is may have a self leveling system build into it.
As the header tanks on the radiator were full of holes, I had a complete aluminum replacement radiator fabricated here. Total cost was USD $175.
Looking forward to restoring this thing and driving around East Africa.
Cheers
