Welcome to MBWorld. Grats on the w210 pickup. Let us know if we can help you out with any lighting upgrades. We have H6W bulbs for your front city/parking lights and festoon bulbs for your rear plates. Will help give her a nice modern facelift with whiter lighting

I read somewhere that if I'm goning to make changes , they need to be done right.
If I want to lower my 99 E430 , and put on a slightly larger wheel . Which step goes first ?
The wheels I'm looking at are 18inch .

I'd lower the vehicle first, then look at wheels. That way when you test fit wheels, you have a true ride height clearance to make sure you won't have any fitment or rubbing issues. 18s will be fine, but comes down to offsets and width.
