R129 gets better every day, new surprise
I was so sold on the condition this 1999 model, I told the previous owner don't even bother putting up the soft top.
Alright, here is my new surprise, the roof gear works like new and a 17 year old like new silver soft top was hiding inside.
I was expecting a black roof. Stumbling blind onto a triple silver R129 in mint condition, like that will ever happen again.

I'm going to properly clean that silver rag and seal it, polish the glass, put some protective thin packing on the top as it goes back into hibernation and maybe use once a year.
The only marks on the soft top are a result of being stowed and jiggling.
Oh yeah, it also has the good headlight, almost a 2000 dollar option at the time. hehehe
