Hello all,

Damon here. Never owned a Mercedes before as I always seemed to pick up something else first. I absolutely hate Trucks or SUV's and was looking for something that can get me around occasionally during the winter. Of course my brain doesn't function quite properly (owning 7 cars and all of which become completely immobile with the least bit of snow.) I was looking domestically for something but the minute I sat inside whatever it was I thought was pretty cool from the outside or drivetrain wise the interior....I just couldn't find anything I liked. I then figured well perhaps a Porsche Cayenne TT.....Which I really liked but couldn't justify the cost right now for something that would get little use. I was also not looking for something new for the very same reason. (And Id likely get carried away buying stuff for it anyway.) Then I remembered the ML55. I always thought they stood out from the standard ML so I looked into a few. Well after taking one for a ride I was kind of hooked. For a tankish weight truck it handled pretty well and had some power. Interior had a perfect blend of old and new as well. I love technology but some things I can just deal without when it comes to a vehicle. So to make a long story short after doing a bit of research I picked one up. 2003 ML55. I fully realize not the ideal winter vehicle but it sure is cool and with a rim/tire change im sure it will do just fine in the snow. I liked the idea I found it difficult to find performance stuff for it that was worth buying ....Of course a sale on the Kleeman headers and downtubes stopped the idea of doing nothing to it. So a full exhaust is planned. Based on my research Ill have many questions on that. Hopefully I can figure out a few more ways to go without going crazy. Anyway I'm happy with the purchase and look forward to learning a bit about this car/truck. BTW whenever I see an MB I like I typically get one of my friends to buy it so I can tell them what to do to it. I'm bad like that :O) Cant tell you how many people Ive convinced to buy sl & CL 600's without ever owning one! Anyway look forward to being a part of the community

Welcome to MBWorld. Grats on the pickup. Looks like the modding bug already hit you lol. So since you've picked up the Kleemann headers and downpipes, might want to take a look at the Kleemann tune as well. Which exhaust system were you looking at? What wheels were you looking for?

Let us know if we can help you out with any aftermarket lighting upgrades as well. We specialize in plug and play LED and HID upgrades for more modern whiter and brighter look. Really gives it a nice modern facelift, especially if your stock bulbs haven't been changed out and are running end of life dim.

2005 c240 Mercedes Benz
Bought my first car from one of my friends last month, a 2005 C240 Mercedes. I'm not very knowledgeable on cars but I really like this car. Need some help with a few things so I joined this forum board. I'll post a picture in a few

Sorry for the delay. I was out at the lakehouse with no reception whatsoever...So here is a photo of the truck. Headlights are pretty bright, the rims don't have a scratch on them but it has no spare tire.....I Like the look so doubt ill change the rims. But a little more performance cant hurt. I did a bunch of research and I am not better off than I was when I started exhaust wise. I put up a separate post for that. I will however post anything I do to the truck as I always find that info is valuable to someone (like me looking at exhaust threads)
