Hello, new for me '05 SL65 AMG
Hi all, just picked up a 2005 SL65 with very low miles. Previous owner is a fellow car guy and a friend. I love fast cars and have owned/driven mostly American muscle since I was a teenager. The SL65 I bought is flawless and my first European car let alone a Benz. I have read this particular model is a high maintenance deal but I'll only put on 2-3k miles a year. Wish me luck, lol. Hope to make friends here.

Welcome to MBWorld and grats on the pickup. Definitely a beast when it comes to raw power, but with the elegance and engineering of some of the best german engineering. Maintenance cost is higher than what you'd find with domestics, but as long as you understand that coming in, you'll be fine. Find a local independent for general oil change maintenance and if you have one with a STAR diagnostics machine, score!
