Just traded my mountain bike for a 1979 300D

So last Thursday my wife told me I needed to get a commuter car because I was spending $600/month on fuel in my GMC Denali. I accepted the challenge and didn't really come up with much. Later that day my buddy asked if I was still interested in "those old Mercedes diesels". I shouted HELL YEAH! He had found one for sale/trade pretty close to our work for $800 or trade for a MacBook, iPad, or mountain bike. I was lucky enough to have a pretty nice mountain bike practically brand new that I was willing to trade. Ended up making a deal with the guy for a straight trade with him keeping his brand new battery! Stoked!

I went to the local Les Schwab and bought a new battery, stopped at the O'Reilys and picked up some brake light bulbs and cruised that puppy home! So far I absolutely love it and all of it's quirks.

This upcoming Friday I'll be replacing the diaphragm in the vacuum and hopefully regain the brake boost, ignition, and door locks.

I present to you, The Brown Bomber.
