I'm Mazdeuce, my R63 AMG broke.
Hello everyone,.
604_C63 decided to reach out to me and invite me over to hang out. I'm the owner of the R63 AMG that briefly showed up on Opposite Lock and then Road and Track. The thread about my experience is over at Grassroots Motorsports in their forums, that's kind of my home base on the internet. I've been a multi year lurker over here even before I purchased the R63. Everything I pretend to know about the M156 I learned from you guys.
There have been some internet questions about what sort of idiot doesn't know about the head bolt issues on M156's. I did know about them. I figured with 90k miles on the motor, if they were likely to go, the would have already gone, and if they did go they would probably go slowly with a slow coolant leak to give me time. I gambled and bought one of my dream cars. I lost the head bolt lottery. It happens. The engine is currently apart, no rods bent, everything looks good and I'm about to order the bits and pieces to put it back together.
I may have some questions as I go along and now that I have an account I can ask.
Thanks for the vast amount of information you guys have stored over here.

Welcome!
Hey man read about your trials and tribulations! I just wanted to wish you good luck on your endeavor! I was telling another member I love watching build/rebuild threads. It makes working on the cars look humanly possible not some foreign space technology like its made out to seem.
Keep at it and you'll be driving again in no time!
