I feel like a newbie as I have never been to this forum for new members before. When I first joined in 2011 I was the proud owner of a 2001 S430 Sport.
Things have changed a little since then. I now own a 2007 S550.

I will give a very brief overview of what happened to me in my S430.

Speed: 55 mph
Time: 5:57 am
Location: San Bernardino Mountains
Scenario: Vehicle plunged 56 feet down the mountain
Reason: Black ice
Injuries: 1/2 inch blemish on right wrist from airbag deployment

My baby saved my life not before giving me a b@*tch slap to the face apon impact in total disgust. I walked through the forest at the bottom of the cliff to the road below.
I feel we should all be proud to drive the W221 but especially safe in this vehicle. If this was any other vehicle I feel I would not be here today so go outside and a good coat of polish would show some appreciation for the structural engineering marvel of this car.





The smashed front windscreen was from the airbag not my head.
