Mercedes Benz 500sel W140
Hello From Southern California
Hello Everyone,
Just want to introduce myself to the w140 forum. I own a '93 500sel since '98. My Father was the 2nd owner. I don't remember how many miles it had when my Dad purchased it. He meticulously took care of it extremely well, maintenance record up-to-date and it was primarily his pleasure car.
He passed away now and I'm technically the 3rd owner. Everything works and is stock. It has 102,xxx now. This is now my project car still in progress.
I just recently dressed her up with some 20" wheels, Brabus Monoblock III's on Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires 255 / 35 / 20 all around, no spacers. It took me over 10 years to find the wheels, finally got 'her done.
Here is a picture of her now on stock height.

Welcome! Sorry to hear about your dad's passing. Looks like his car is in good hands. Perfect "mob boss" car in my opinion. If i had that i'd keep it simple, just like your dad did. The wheels are a really good touch... still within simple and classy.

Thanks "mo11". I agree by keeping it simple and classy. Nothing else is being done to the exterior body except for detailing/paint correction.
Any ideas where I can pick up a similar front grill that is straight bolt-on? I see them available overseas on e-Bay but they are not compatible with my vehicle. It's a S600 front grill and I got a 500sel.

they have a toll free no. You might wanna call and ask if this part is direct bolt on, for as long as its a w140.
