I was a Merc mechanic twenty years ago. The company (I called it butcher shop) assigned me to repair W202 and W124 only. But I quitted the butcher in 2003 and became a high voltage electrical engineer. Now I have downgraded myself to be an electrician because I found electrician has a much brighter future than the office sitting engineer.
The problem is my work van, the old W638 110 CDi has recently developed a leak that shot a stream of coolant under the exhaust manifold. The bloody combination of front wheel drive and the diesel engine really don't make sense to my rusty mechanical brain. Perhaps, it is time to take the van to the local workshop (butcher) for a quote or get a sprinter.
