Hello!

glad to be here. I was just given a gift of a 2005 E320 CDI. It is in great shape except for needing a water pump. The family gave me the pump as well! I've been reading treads on DIY so over the next few days I'll tackle it!

almost done!

I started work on the water pump yesterday. I've got the old one removed and the new pump ready to install however I cannot find my tap & die set to tap out one hole on the new pump that isn't threaded. It is the one that connects the triangle shape bracket. One little bolt holding me up. I could probably do it on the car but everything in there is such a tight fit I'd rather do it on the work-bench! I have a hospital visit to make shortly so I'll pick up an inexpensive set at Sears and hopefully have her running after lunch!
I've videoed segments of the removal, probably poor video, but if it looks useable I'll upload it somewhere for reference.

finished the H20 pump

took me about 5 hours to complete. I videoed some of the work. Not great. Had to get a tap set to tap out one hole on the new water pump. The car drives fantastic. Hope to have years of enjoyment.
