Considering a MB, joining for reasearch
Hi.
I'm considering a GL class as a family hauler and to carry a trailer, to replace the truck. The GL looks like it gets superg mileage and we are loving diesel with the wife's Jetta TDI.
I'm an active member of TDIClubForums and Audizine. I'm finishing up a 4.2 V8 swap into my B5 A4 currently. We need something bigger for a family vehicle than the Jetta, though.
I look to research more about the GL and what issues are common. I am a heavy DIY-er, so I'm not scared of a little work, but I don't want to spend a family fortune on upkeep. So hopefully I find just small things.
