My father imported this car from Belgium in 1984.
In 1997, the air conditioning stopped working. The great Rockville, Maryland, mechanic who worked on it could not figure out a way to recharge the AC.
In 2007, an oil leak led to an engine seizure.
I inherited the car that year, and had a new engine installed.
In 2014, I drove it up to Weymouth, Massachusetts. At first, I had trouble registering the car, as the Massachusetts RMV computers did not recognize the West German VIN. But the Weymouth Police were able to verify the VIN. The car is now registered in Massachusetts, and passes inspection.
I drive it around the Shore Shore, but would like to sell it, as I have another vehicle.
