2004 CLK55 AMG, 1987 BMW M6, 2000 Lexus Lx470, 2003 CLK500(SOLD), 2000BMW540i(SOLD), 2005 350Z(SOLD)
New, kinda W209 CLK55
New entirely new, had an 03 CLK 500 that I never should of sold but hey now I have an AMG! CLK55
-New spark plugs
-New Alternator
-New front pads and rotors (rear coming up in a year probably)
-Belts look new or recent.
-New valve cover gaskets
Car needs / Getting ready to
-Drop trans pan, clean, check filter.
-AC blowing cold but vents seem to be erratic on auto preventing car from getting cool - hopefully I can find a code.
-Parking brake cable somehow became disconnected from plastic handle.
-Radiator. It fits the build date that is prone to the Valeo issue. Eyeing a Nissen for only $150... like its too easy of a job and too cheap to risk what could potentially happen with the Valeo eh?
Everything else just looks good all fluids are totally clean.

Congrats on your CLK AMG.
Hello. I read where your front discs and pads were already replaced...some lucky for you!! Had to replace mine, and the dealer said they were special types, wound up paying over 3G for the replacements!
Other than that and a fondness for fuel (especially when zipping along, and that car will ZIP), never had any problems.
Well, just one, actually. Heater stopped working, fan could not turn either. Mice had built an enormous nest and spent about a day removing parts, nest materials, and replacing the parts. Works like a charm!!
Good luck with your new ride.

My friend, if you have a CLK there is nothing special about the brakes some years are little more for front rotors. I could do brakes on all 4 tires on this AMG for $500 roughly little more for the E55... I get most of my parts here:

Just dont let anyone rip you off....that seems to be a reoccurring theme with a lot of repair shops/dealers and German cars

Check out their lifetime guarantee on brake parts
That sucks about the mice but hey if I was a mouse I would move into the benz! Park next to a Ferrari maybe?
