Lowering
Theres a method to lower both the front and back of our w211's via washer method. Saves a ton of money and no need to change any airmatic parts. Google W211 lowering washer method. You should find some images posted by users who did this. I did to my front just to give it more of a lower stance in front. But not by much.

Re: Lowering
You can also just purchase lowering links. They attach to the level sensors that are bolted with one 10mm bolt on your upper control arms. They just use a longer arm link to trick the car into thinking its higher off the ground.

How low are you trying to get the car? Just fix the compressor and get a lowering module unless you're trying to go super low. Another option is to remove the whole airmatic system and install coil overs.

You should also be asking your questions in the W211 section. The New Members section isn't really the place to ask this type of stuff since it doesn't get a ton of traffic.
