Hello to All from S550 Owner.

Owned an s550 for several years now. Finally decided to join the forum so I can share my experience as an owner with the community.

I know many folks on this forum are not big fan of dealers. I have always taken my car to a dealer for service and repairs. Not always cheap, however I get peace of mind only when a dealer works on my car. So far i have positive experience.

Recent Service B dealer discovered some minor oil leaks. car has 96K miles. These are the estimates to fix the oil leaks.

Oil Filter Housing - Reseal 2.30 hours Estimate Cost: $347.95

Centrifuge Cover-272/273, Replace 0.90 hours Estimate Cost: $264.78

Brakes are down to 10% so eventually need to be replaced. Dealer estimate aprox $1200 drive off (front/rear rotors and pads, taxes)

Installing brakes on S550 is not that hard. I might go for DIY for Brakes. Cost saving will be aprox $600.00. Let see.

Providing above estimates incase someone has similar repairs coming up.
