2012 C300 W204 Sport

Hey everyone just introducing myself and saying hey. Got a new-to-me 2012 C300 Sport and I'm already having a nightmare problem. Car won't start intermittently. Replaced the battery because it was old and just because that was easy, knowing it wasn't really the problem. But hey, at least the battery is new. I think it's the ignition control module because I just don't think the steering column is recognizing either of my keys. Got stranded an hour away from home, thankfully was able to jiggle the wheel when inserting the key and got the column to respond and start. When I say column, I mean that little buzz/movement thing it does when you insert your key. But now for the last couple days, the column won't buzz or move and therefore no start. It just totally ignores the keys. However the keys still lock/unlock the car and turn off the panic alarm. Sooooo i'm going to be dragging it down to my dealer this week seeing what's up. Thank god I have a warranty with a reasonable deductible or I'd be freaking out. Based on what I've read it's either the ignition control or the ECU - guess I'll find out. I guess it could be something simpler. If anybody has their guess I'm all ears. My other funner project is installing the lighted Mercedes emblem in the grill, but I'm having trouble figuring out where to hook power to, because my DRL's don't have torx screws to take the DRL housing off, and so i need to either go in through the wheel well or find someplace else to get power. If anyone has ideas for that too, I'd be much obliged. Anyhoo, howdy from Kansas, glad to be on the board. - Matthew
