hello, im a new member and want to buy this car but need to know what it's worth
i know an old man who has a mint 1999 s500 grand sitting in his garage (he is 2nd owner) the car looks great and only has 45k miles
he is asking $18k
does anyone know what its worth?

This looks like a sweet ride. Low miles and by the looks of things well kept. I'd have a pre purchase inspection done at a dealer or reputable MB specialist. These cars are quite complex and you could run into expensive repairs...even with low miles. Better to be safe than surprised. Once the inspection is complete you can estimate the cars value. I would say the asking price is not unrealistic, all other things being equal. Good luck with your investigation. Let us know how you make out.
