Hi, my name is Roger Matles, and I just picked up a new E 53 convertible on Saturday. Fully loaded, got rid of my 650IX convertible as it was coming out of warranty, and just had way too many electronic gremlins to keep! This car has even more electronics, just hope they don’t turn into gremlins!
Welcome to the forum. With the amount of electronics in new cars today I think we all have to deal with the Gremlins. I'm on my second Mercedes and, knock wood, I haven't really had to deal with any. Bimmer's are known to have a few, but nothing can top the number of electrical Gremlins in my son's Saab he used to drive.

will do, when I get the car back. It’s currently at my detailer, getting paint correction, wrapped, ceramic coating, remote radar/laser, and a front plate mount solution. After that, I’ll get the snow tires mounted!!!
I hope to get the car back tomorrow, stopped by last night. They had the badges off, in order to wrap the panels. I kind of like the stealth look, so while I didn’t order the no cost badge delete option, I’ll have the badges, but they won’t be on the car. I don’t need to advertise that it’s an AMG, that’s obvious from the rear to those that know. For those of you in states that require a front plate, what’s your solution? On my “toys”, I don’t run a front plate, and the times I’ve been stopped, I’ve been able to avoid getting written up for it, on my daily driver, it doesn’t make sense, not to run a front plate, but I don’t want to drill holes in the front bumper
