Hi everyone,
I’m new around here and I need a little guidance on whether or not to have my vehicle inspected at Mercedes only? I’m going tomorrow to possibly buy a used 2012 c350 coupe with 64,000 miles on it. It’s in great shape. This is the only thing that doesn’t check out. The dealer, which is a ford dealer, told me they had it inspected by Mercedes. After looking at some information on the dealer website I noticed next to the carfax info it had a folder that had more info on the car. There was a file in there that said it was inspected by ford not by Mercedes. I’m having to drive a long way to look at this car so should they go get it checked out at Mercedes instead? I’m assuming Mercedes knows more about these cars than ford does.
Thanks guys

Is the Ford dealer (name of a person or "automotive group") also a Mercedes dealer? My local Mercedes dealer also owns a number of other dealership brands.
If you have experience with cars, a CarFax report, test drive and inspection can be enough. It was for me.

The ford dealer is a sonic automotive dealer. There aren’t any sonic automotive Mercedes dealers in the area. It should be ok with the inspection from ford they replaced any faulty parts with oem parts and serviced, detailed, etc the vehicle.Originally Posted by chassis

welcome The dealer you are buying from should give you at least a 30 day warranty on the vehicle. Have it inspected before the time period is up.
