New-to-me 2001 E430 Sport
Hello.
I have to be honest. I'm more of a truck guy and this is a crowd I never expected to find myself in but here I am.
I recently inherited a 2001 E430 Sport with a little under 70,000 miles.
It was my mother's car. I'm very happy to say that Mom is still with us. She just doesn't drive anymore.
I've been making sure the car did not rot in the garage for the past 5 years. All I really did was keep it clean, keep air in the tires, changed the oil a couple times, and every couple months I would drive it for a day or two.
Passing California emissions was a bit of a pain due to recent battery replacement. For some reason it wouldn't complete one of the self-tests but it finally passed yesterday.
I've always enjoyed driving the car so I'm going to keep it for a while. The only thing I plan on changing is the radio. I'll search the site for advice but I like doing everything myself so I'm sure I'll have questions.
