New member here, C400
My first car was a 2001 VW Passat 2.8 v6. I ended up adding an aftermarket supercharger to it (still barely broke 200hp but the whine and gains at least made it fun). I drove this car for about 11 years. Every time it broke, I just fixed it. I even swapped the engine at one point.
Eventually the issues were just too much to handle and I started looking for a change. I told myself "I will NEVER buy another German car for as long as I live."
First, I was all about the Cadillac ATS coupe. Small, comfortable, nimble, it checked off a lot of boxes for me. All the coupes in my area had stupid damage. Scratches, dings, dents, all on cars that had less than 15k on the odo. So i started looking at other coupes. Lexus, 4 series BMW, then I sat in a W205 C300 sedan and realized MB has by far the best interior. Biggest problem, I couldn't find a coupe in my area and if i did, the price was well out of my range.
Then, I stumbled across the C400 and was blown away by the fact that it was a V6 TT. For that kind of engine and power, my preference for a coupe was out the window. I ended up landing on a C400 with AMG sport package, Black on Cranberry interior. Got it with ~8months of factory warranty which I put to good use.
Now, warranty is over, and it's time to mod!
Performance wise, I'm waiting for a decent deal/promotion/sale on a Stage 2 tune and downpipe.
Looks wise, I have tinted windows and a PSM style CF spoiler I have yet to put on. Wheels are on the list but they can wait.
And that's pretty much it! I plan to have this car for a while so I'm hoping for a healthy mix of power and longevity as well as a car I love looking at when its parked.
