I've been lurking around for a few weeks now in the AMG GT Forums. The car has captivated me.
Have always been a Corvette man but not sure I like the direction they are headed now. I've got an older C6 Z51 and am feeling the need to jump to a newer car. I'm gonna reserve final judgement for when I actually see the car and after a few months of me getting use to it.
I'm old school I guess. I've never thought of myself as that but it looks like that's how its working out.
2nd of 3 kids about to graduate from college and I think the 3rd will end up with a scholarship so I may be getting my life back, Haha.
If that happens I am eyeing the GTC and will likely pull the trigger. Wont be buying brand new though but one maybe a couple years old that's been treated well.

I guess that new mid engine Corvette doesn't appeal to you... I remember all the various times when Chevy has tried to make mid engine happen - looks like it will finally appear this time around. Kinda Lambo or Ferrari-esques is what I think is what they are going after. I'm with you - old school. The MB AMG GT is a very refined car.
Best of luck and post up some pictures!
