New Member to MBWorld
Hello, I am a new member to MBWorld. I don't actually own a Mercedes but joined in hopes of obtaining information in order to help a friend who recently acquired a 1988 300 SE (W126).
The car needs some work and I am a bit confused about the class designations which doesn't help when trying to find a tech manual for it. My understanding is that it is an S class and due to the year is a W126 chassis.
I found a Haynes manual on eBay which covers a lot of models such as 200, 230, 250, 260, 280, 300 and 320 but does not specify if it covers an SE. The guy posting the ad says it covers 200E, 230E, 250E, 260E, 280E, 300E, and 320E, all E class.
The cover of the manual also states it covers "C to K registration" but I do not understand what that means. Could anyone tell me what that means and if this manual would cover the car I am working on?
