About 12 years ago I set out to buy a new car ( pre owned) and had been looking for awhile at these cars were on my radar and went in on an add... when I got there i saw a white one sitting on the lot and as I was walking up to it a land rover discovery 2 was just coming off the carrier from auction and I thought hmmm now that is nice and practical for camping and this and that so I asked and needless to say.. I ended up buying it and dont get me wrong .. I LOVE that truck and still have it and runs great.. however... ive done quite a lot of wrenching on it to keep her up and safari mods and so on! now back to Mercedes... front time to time Id see one of these beauties with top down and Id just say to friends THAT was the car I was going to get before this monster! lol Then one day I ended up getting a new job far away... well the landy isnt good for new jobs far away when it comes to gas milage lol so I set out for an inexpensive car I could commute and still justify the land rover in my arsenal.. with no avail and 600 bucks a month in gas I was beside myself.. then a friend of mine called who is a Yacht captain who said... hey you know that black convertible mercedes I have in garage your always fawning over I hardly drive? you should buy that from me ! I said ITS MINE! . we made the deal and I brought her home! now I have my Mercedes convertible AND my Landy! what a combo!
My new to me G320 2002.
Unfortunately , a few little things are not working. The turn signal light in the mirror and the turn signal on top of the fender.
So I will look in the forum for tips…

Kevin from Las Vegas here. Just bought a 2013 ML550 (A W166?) with 30k miles on it. Absolutely love it! I've never driven anything other than Lexus/ Toyota and decided I needed a change. Unfortunately, after about 2k miles all power to the wheels completely disappeared. While driving, in forward gear, the power just quit.
I get no codes and the Mercedes dealership also gets no codes even though they know it isn't working - they had to tow it into the service bay. The strange things is that this is an intermittent problem. It comes and goes and apparently they can't get a code when it's not happening. I was told by a service writer that it might be a malfunctioning valve body. I know this isn't the place to discuss this. Can anybody direct me to a sub-forum where these types of things are discussed? Thanks!!

You didn'tmention who owns the blue Coupe and Roadster behind yours.? Dave somebody. Guess it is the famous Super-Dave.
I first fell in love with the brand when I got a used 2006 SLK from a CarMax. 7 years and 70k+ miles later, i bid it farewell after someone rear-ended it at speed and they could never get the hard top operation correct after that.
Then I grabbed and rehabbed a 1999 ML while working a contract in wintery Madison WI.
I've been in EV land since 2017 but decided to return to the MB brand and CarMax at the same time, picking up a 2019 E450 Cabriolet with 15k miles. Here's to enjoying the wind in your face again.
A couple questions...
1. Where do folks go today for model-specific chats on accessories, upgrade parts/trim, wheels/tires and other things for their model, such as my W213 platform? There doesn't seem to be much out there at first search, so I'm sure I'm just looking in the wrong place. I want to get heads up on common mechanical issues, part numbers for factory accessories that might not have been purchased but I might want to add retro where possible, etc.
2. Is the new app for 2019 and newer as horrible as the old app was? What is worth and not worth it in 2024?
Just bought a lovely 2007 450GL(80K miles) from a good friend. Love the car.
I am coming off many years of VW ownership and really enjoyed using VAG-COM to maintain the cars. I have a basic blue tooth OBD2 scanner but would like to add a dedicated Mercedes scanner tool.
I see some incredibly cheap offerings on TEMU - do they work?!?
Any recommendations for an inexpensive scanner? New to me 2007 450GL
