My name is Marek and I am a new member with 2016 E63 AMGS.
Do you have any experience with changing engine oil yourself?
I tried to suck out the engine oil but the most I got was about 5 litres out of 8 litres.
Merc service sucks it out as well out through the dipstick pipe but they got it all.
What is the difference? Would anybody knows?
I just got back from my 3 week trip (5000km) through the Rockies and the car is very dirty. I will not have time to wash it until next week.
When I was in Edmonton I installed German Huper Optik tint on my windows. It really cuts down the heat.
I also finished my front OEM tires. Right front is completely gone. The service told me that I have to put the new tires before they can check the alignment. Did not suspect that it would take that much difference for the alignment between new or worn out tires.
Already ordered Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+
Leaving 3 litres of old oil in the oil pan is too much.
I tried to go under the car to see if i can get to the drain plug (apparently there is one).
Could not do it. Needed a hoist.
The service department sucks all the oil out. That is what they say.
They do not put a plastic vacuum tube into the dipstick tube but they attach a special gizmo (adapter) to the top of the dipstick tube and suck all oil out using dipstick tube rather then inserting a plastic tube into dipstick tube.
I tried to attach a picture of the adapter but could not.
