Mercedes-Benz S430, S500, S600, and E320 CDI
New member from Virginia (W220 lover)
Hi folks,
Greetings from the Commonwealth of Virginia! In our family, at present we've got four W220's and one W211, all 2WD models. I know the W220's don't get a lot of good press, but I have found them to be handsome, sleek, and well built.
First one was Dad's car, a 2000 S430, the inheritance which got me started. I continue to drive it today in his honour. And then things just kinda...snowballed from there...next thing I knew, there were five M-B's out in front of my house. They do seem to multiply, don't they? The best friend, now wife, got one of them, the "project 2000 S500", on which I did much of my experimentation and learning. This car is her daily driver. All of them get driven regularly, though.
Eventually, we'll find good owners for a couple of our cars and then add a 4Matic to the stable. Never owned one before, so it'd be kinda neat to see how those are. We do all our own maintenance, thanks to forums like these. Wife even changes her own oil now, and that's a good thing.
