I just purchased my first Benz so have very limited experience with these cars. My father owned an w116 450se when I was young. I remember working on this car and deal with a few rust issues.
It’s an 06 E55 combi that is actually an 05 build. The registration date is almost 1 year later because it’s a Japanese export car.
The car has only done 122k in km’s, about 76k in miles.
It looks very clean and drives well.
The plan is to give it a good clean it and do some cosmetic work, there are a few scratches on the rear fender and the person I bought it from replaced one of the front fenders because of transport damage. I’m not sure if it is an OEM fender, did all E55’s come with Aluminium fenders?
Then enjoy it for a while, put on some headers and have it tuned, there is a company closeby that can tune it to 530hp and more then 800nm with a dyno sheet to prove.
Don’t look at the chrome door protection strips, they need to go!
