Hello! New member! Car fire = E63 as a replacement

Hey all!
New member with first MB.

I purchased the car after my BMW 335i burned to the ground:

I live in Kansas and was in the middle of nowhere so it took 20 mins for the volunteer firefighters to get there. By that time the car was almost entirely burned to the ground. (Love the firefighters though, they where awesome once they arrived!)

Once the insurance check came in, I started to look for cars and the E63 from Minneapolis won out. Got a PPI and then flew out and drove it 6 hours back. Definitely love at first sight.

The car is a 2010 E63 AMG (M156), purchased with 68k miles and now am at 83k. Car has been dead reliable and after a few Blackstone reports, am pretty sure my headbolts and camshaft are in good condition.

I do all the “consumables” work in my garage. I’ve done brakes and a few oil changes. All the Motorsports grade parts make service work so easy!

Only modification I’ve done is removed the badges and removed the center resonator. Best decision I’ve ever made. Perfect sound, not loud when driving across the country, but a great bark around town!
