Welcome! Congratulations on the search. Bluetec powertrains are known to experience difficulties with emissions aftertreatment systems. Please thoroughly read about the OM642 engine, and Bluetec MLs in the various sections on this forum. Familiarize yourself with the pros and cons of this powertrain, before buying.

Well drive it home approx 200 miles no issues with a check engine light. I’ve scanned it a few times and cleared the DTC a few times and keep getting different codes. Took it to Mercedes Dealership and had it scanned. Plugged DPF...
not playing this game and decided to just get it over with and ordered BuzzKen Pipe and it gets here today. I pulled the ECU and it is on the way to shop for Delete and Stage 1 time.
Anyone have any tricks/tips for removing the DPF filter? I have the car on jack stand in my gathering right now. Also I believe the O2 sensor is the only sensor that gets reinstalled the rest can get unplugged and coil and stowed... just a guess. I was also told the SCR controller needs to be unplugged but not sure where that controller is at.
i flew to Portland OR to pickup the car and meet the guy at the airport. He told me he had a second battery installed in the car. Anyone heard of this upgrade and where the second battery would be installed?
