Colorado!
Thinking about buying a friends 2002 C320 wagon. He has taken good care of it and always maintained by a MB mechanic. Lower door rust got away from him so it is pretty bad. He also has to unplug the driver seat or it will drain the battery. The HVAC does not always work correctly, so you might get heat, you might not. The engine and transmission work flawlessly so I am seriously considering buying this car, he said he would take $500 for it. I would use it to commute back and forth to work, about 30 miles 3x per week.
I currently own a 1999 VW Eurovan MV and a 1973 Bug. I have owned a 1992 VW GTI Mk2, and the Audi A4 from 2001 (1.8t Quattro), my son drives a 2003 Subaru Forester XS I rehabbed with head-gaskets and atiming belt/water pump kit. I have converted an older Vanagon to Subaru power, and do all my own maintenance and repair on all my cars for the last 25 years (Ford Explorers, Toyota Sienna, Vanagons, Toyota Camry, Nissan Sentra). I do love German cars so I had to figure out how to work on them so as not to go broke. I am not professionally trained, but I can do just about anything with a vehicle a pro can do, it just takes me longer. I research and read as much as I can about the repair before getting started. Based on the research I have already done the C320 I feel like it might not be a bad deal for a guy like me.
Any good advice is always appreciated.

Hi and welcome!
A great place to start would be the W203 where owners can offer there opintions. Good luck!
