Me and my 55
My name is Channon,
I am new to the forum and my 2006 CLS55 aswell. I have had many different vehicles (old and new). I consider myself to be a pretty decent mechanic and understand most issues. I bought my car about 3 weeks ago (Jan 2020). When I purchased it it was in completely stock form and well takin care of. (98,000 miles) in the past 3 weeks I have changed out the wheels, lowered it slightly, (using the washer method) and upgraded the HE cooling system..(fabtech under hood box, split cooling, Bosch 010, and private label mfg HE). I have found all these items and methods on your forum. I found the forum to be very helpful and this is why I have decided to join..👍

Be sure to hang out in the W211 AMG sub-forum. The W211 and W219 are essentially the same so the lessons applicable to the E55 will apply to your CLS55. Such as, on the passenger side of your trunk, you should have three relays hidden behind the panel, one relay for the secondary air injection and the other two relays each power a fuel pump. I recommend you replace the fuel pump relays whenever you perform a fuel pump and filter change whether they look like they need it or not.
